One of my favourite Japanese TV dramas is Odoru Daisousasen (Bayside Shakedown). It’s a police drama set in the fictional Wangan Police department whose jurisdiction covers Odaiba (yes, where Comiket and Wonderfestival are held). Unlike Law & Order, which deals with the crime and judicial process or CSI which deals with the investigation and forensic aspects, Odoru deals with the bureaucracy of red tape, superiors interested in numbers that look good rather than solving crimes and superiors out of touch with life on the street.
So randomly searching around YouTube I found a mashup of two of my favourite things – Cardcaptor Sakura and Odoru Daisousasen.
