After dinner tonight I carefully unpacked my purchases from my recent Japan trip, and added them to “The Collection”. More photos after the jump.

Full Shelves

I’m so happy to live within striking distance of an Ikea. As the collection grows, I can just go buy another bookshelf. If you click on the above image, you can see an annotated version on Flickr.

Top Shelf Panorama

These are the figures remaining on the top. I really hate having to dust them, as it takes up almost an hour to remove them, dust and clean them, polish the top of the cupboard and replace them all. I’m going to pick up a can of compressed air this week and see if it speeds things up.

Left Shelf

The Hiiragi Tsukasa figure in the center up the top was a present from CMWilly from Clockwork Machina. He’d been to visit the Goodsmile offices and they’d given him a bunch of figurines. Tsukasa is my favourite Lucky Star character, and the day before I had been to Washinomiya Shrine in Saitama (the same shrine featured in Lucky Star). Very cool. You can also see my full set of limited edition Evangelion UCC Milk Coffee cans, and in the bottom a can of Nebuta Apple Juice from Aomori, original Final Fantasy Potion bottle, Comic Water bottle and my as-yet unopened copy of Suzumiya Haruhi for PS2.

Centre Shelf

All the figures on the top shelf are recent acquisitions. I’m very happy to finally have the Manabi Scooter (the one in the center) – I couldn’t get ahold of one when they first came out, but I found one in Mandarake. I also picked up the Cardcaptor Sakura figurines around Manabi, as well as the Narusegawa Naru figurine. I’ve also got a Taiko no Tatsujin drum model. The four boxed figures are a full set of unopened Cardcaptor Sakura figures.

Right Shelf

In case you can’t tell, there’s a fair number of variations of Asuka and Rei from Evangelion, a few Manabi Straight figures, a lot of Tsukimiya Ayu from Kanon and Katase Shima from Stellvia. And of course Cardcaptor Sakura. When I get a chance to re-construct my ghetto lightbox, I’ll actually take some good model shots.

I’m a little worried though – there’s not enough wall space for another shelf.
